The location of the town seems to hinge on this plat (which is odd because it's not one of the earliest plats). Descriptions for many plats seem to be missing; so, there may yet be a reason for the odd locator. It seems that MICHIE's #80 should bound on #81 and #84 (yet, the description says #81 and #82). (Note: the conflicting names on #82 & #84 shown in the links below.)
