This block appears to be on the lowermost side of the town--given the mention of John BUNCH's plat and the outer street. (Note that by 1764, William THOMPSON appears to have purchased the commons area of the town. His plat shows PEARSON's Island, mentions John BUNCH, Timothy PUCKETT, and JACKSON as well as showing "new road" across the tract.) (Matthew KEMMERTING's 1764 plat shows John BUNCH, Bernard LITZ, and a Joseph JOYNER, et al.) There are several puzzling references: for example, MICHIE's #80 mentions bounding on #81 & #82--yet, #80 seems to be in a different block; also, #81 states bounding on the Bay and an outside street...)
